Founded in 1996 by Greg Koch and Steve Wagner, Stone Brewing is a brewery headquartered in Escondido, California, USA.
Surely by reading their online statement behind their choice of mascot, you respect them already.
India pale ale (IPA) is a beer that contains more hops than the average beer, and its own bitterness, aroma and flavour.
Stone’s Go To IPA has been a year-round release since 2014, and is a key session IPA for the brewery.
“…it was of the utmost importance to us that fans benefit from the superior drinkability of a 4.8% ABV beer as well as a vibrant hop bomb character that they (AND US) adore. As such, Stone Go To IPA brings all the resinous, citrusy oomph hopheads rightfully crave, thanks to the use of a cutting edge brewing technique called “hop bursting,” wherein a, frankly, unreasonable amount of hops are added at the end of the boil and whirlpool stages so that the finished beer takes on a mellow bitterness and massive hop aromas. Watch Brewmaster Mitch Steele expound on this process and its virtues, the Stone Go To IPA.”
Psst…ABV = Alcohol By Volume. Don’t worry, we had to google that too.
What we truly love about Stone Brewery are these fab tasting and pairing notes – showing how seriously they take their beer.
Give it a try!
Tonight’s the night the Safra Mount Faber Craft BeerFest begins! We hear the Go To IPA is on tap – so if you’re based in Singapore…whatcha waiting for?
