CHILDHOOD REVIVED. You probably know by now that A&W is making its return to Singapore. It’s incidentally the first fast food chain that ever set foot here Circa 1966 – that’s before McDonald’s and KFC did, even.
We couldn’t be more hungry for loaded coney dogs, cheap diner waffles and the war on floats, fizz and cream. Also, there definitely have been some updates since their last local sighting in 2003. We’re hoping they bring this Reese’s Polar Swirl and Shake in!
But our search to rehash those orange-brown checked delights ended in a series of pretty funny (and punny!) videos encompassing A&W’s mascot, Rooty.
It’s just four HQ-based videos of the pot-bellied bear coming out of hibernation, using the internet, annoying the crap out of the intern, but it’s good fun and pretty applaudable dedication. There’s even a live feed ‘Bear Cam’ of Rooty…
We want Wendy’s back sometime, though. Is that too much to ask?
